COLLECTION

SAAM Collection

From handmade baskets and natural textiles to beautiful home accessories and gifts with character. SAAM Collection brings together products by a variety of makers from South Africa and Eswatini, each with their own materials, styles and stories.

Some stand out for their design, others for their materials or the way they’re made. What they have in common? They’re made to be used, enjoyed and sometimes simply admired.

Carefully Curated

We’re always on the lookout for products that inspire us. A beautiful design, an unusual material, a clever idea or a maker with an interesting story can all be reasons to add something new to the collection.

We care about sustainability, both in the materials used and in the way products are made. But our idea of sustainability goes beyond the environment. We also value social sustainability, including initiatives that create employment opportunities for people who face barriers to finding work.

Our collection continues to grow, bringing together the diverse cultures of South Africa and Eswatini. From small design studios to established brands, and from everyday essentials to objects that are simply beautiful to look at.

MEET THE MAKER

For founder Nonhlanhla Zondi, Takeover Studio is more than a sustainable fashion brand. In South Africa, distinctive bags are handcrafted from recycled cotton yarn, while young makers are taught valuable skills and given opportunities to work.

“We create with purpose, telling stories through design and materials.”

A glimpse of our collection
